I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually happening.
